State delays $15.9 million in payments to D279

The state of MN does not have enough revenue coming in this spring, so the state has a cash flow problem.  The state is delaying payments to school districts who have been fiscally responsible and have built up a reserve fund to manage their budgets and cash flow appropriately.  Essentially a loan is being made to the state from D279 Reserve Fund.  The state will not reimburse districts for the costs incurred by the district related to this action.  See more….
