Relationships, Relationships, Relationships - We work to build relationships with the legislators that represent our district. We also work to build positive relationships with the district administration, the school board, and the many other parent legislative advocacy groups from other school districts.

Inform and Educate – Our goal is to act as a two way street providing information and educating the parents and members of our community and the legislators that represent us.

Legislative Updates – The District 279PLN provides updates to members via email and this website during the legislative session and at other times as appropriate.

Calls to Action - The District 279PLN sends out “Calls to Action” when members are asked to contact legislators or take other action to assist in communicating our message at important times during the legislative session.

Legislative Meetings - Members of our group meet with legislators throughout the session to discuss current issues and to keep the legislators updated on any concerns from students, parents or the school district community.

Legislative Platform – The District 279 Parent Legislative Team develops a legislative platform each year.
